morphological and mechanical properties of hydrogen‐generating effervescent tablets prepared by dry granulation and tablet compaction with a single punch eccentric tablet press. The choice of the lubricant turned out to be challenging. Further the environmental production conditions were of importance for bulk stability. Disintegration time is a critical parameter during formulation development. Finally, the devices for production, a single-punch eccentric tablet press and a rotary tablet press, required different properties of the powder. Through careful selection of excipients and process conditions, we could successfully formulate an effervescent hydrogen‐generating tablet which fulfills all requirements.
