B udova oproti šachte Ferdinand je časť vtedajšej Banskej správy, v ktorej sedeli všetci predstavení a správcovia baní riadiaci ťažbu. Dnes si môžete pozrieť len malú časť jej zašlej slávy.

87) Banská správa dnes

V západnej časti námestia leží kaplnka Božieho hrobu z roku 1594 ako zmenšená kópia Božieho hrobu v Jeru zaleme. Dnes je už poslednou existujúcou kaplnkou svoj ho typu na Slovensku. Bola postavená na odvrátenie nebezpečenstva pred Turkami, ktorí v tom čase plienili región banských miest.

88) Banská správa voľakedy

Aj Špania Dolina má svojho anjela smrti. Hovorí o ňom táto povesť. Anjelom smrti je mních Toman, ktorý zviedol nevinnú banícku devu. Za trest sa dal za živa zamurovať do bašty pri Klopačke. Keď Špa ňodolinčania prijali počas reformácie evanjelickú vieru, nahneval sa a odvtedy chodí vždy na konci mesiaca do rodín s malými deťmi. Zaspieva pieseň a dýchne na vybrané zdravé dieťa, ktoré následne zomrie. Robil to celé stáročia, až kým všetci obyva telia dediny nevymreli. Pokoj našiel až vtedy, keď prišli noví osadníci a založili si nové rodiny. Heute ist nur ein kleiner Teil dessen einstigen Ruhms zu sehen. Im westlichen Teil des Hauptplatzes befindet sich die Kapelle des Gottesgrabes aus dem Jahr 1594, die eine verkleinerte Kopie des Gottesgrabes in Jerusalem ist. Heute ist sie die einzige erhaltene Kapelle dieser Art in der Slowakei. Sie wurde erbaut, um die Gefahr der Türken zu bannen, die in jener Zeit die Region der Bergstädte plünderten. Auch Špania Dolina hatte ihren Todesengel. Darüber gibt es folgende Legende. Der Todesengel ist der Mönch Toman, der eine unschuldige Bergmannstochter verführte. Als Strafe ließ er sich lebendig in die Bastion beim Klopfturm einmauern. Als die Einwohner von Špania Dolina während der Reformation den evangelischen Glauben annahmen, wurde er wütend und ging seitdem immer am Monatsende zu Familien mit kleinen Kindern. Er sang ein Lied und hauchte ein gesundes Kind an, das daraufhin starb. Dies tat er viele Jahrhunderte lang, bis alle Einwohner der Gemeinde ausgestorben sind. Frieden fand er erst dann, als neue Siedler kamen und neue Familien gründeten. Das Gebäude gegenüber des Schachts Ferdinand ist ein Teil des damaligen Gebäudes der Minenverwaltung, in dem alle Vorsitzende und Verwalter saßen, die den Abbau beaufsichtigten.

89) Kaplnka Božieho hrobu

The building opposite to the Ferdinand shaft is a part of the former building of the mining administration where there sat all the chiefs and mine administrators managing the industry. Today only a small part of its faded glory can be seen. In the western part of the square stands the chapel of the Holy Sepulchre from 1594 as a scaled replica of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Today it is the last existing chapel of this kind in Slovakia. It was built to avert the danger of the Turks who devastated the region of mining towns at that time. Even Špania Dolina has its angel of death. There is this legend about it: the angel of death is a monk called Toman who seduced an innocent mining damsel. As a punishment, he was walled up alive into the citadel near the Klopačka. When the inhabitants of Špania Dolina converted to Protestantism during the Reformation, he got angry, and from then on he visited families with young children at the end of every month. He sang a song and breathed on one healthy child who subsequently died. He had been doing it for centuries until all the inhabitants of the village died. He found peace only when the new settlers came and founded new families.
