1 st Conference of European Academy for Molecular Hydrogen Research in Biomedicine “Hydrogen for Biomedicine“

Pokotylo Oleh

Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Oleh Pokotylo heads the Department of Food Biotechnology and Chemistry at Ivan Pulyuy Ternopil National Technical University in Ukraine. The field of scientific interests includes the study of energy-informational, physico-chemical properties of water and the development of means to improve water quality. Today, Professor Oleh Pokotylo is famous in Ukraine, who academically researches and popularizes hydrogen water. Because of these studies, he was invited to work at the Academy of Sciences of the Higher School of Ukraine. Has a scientific school and followers. Published more than 200 scientific and methodical articles. As a university professor, he teaches physiology and food hygiene. Professor Pokotylo is a developer of a number of biologically active supplements and a consultant to pharmaceutical companies. He wrote a number of books, the most popular of which is "5 fundamental postulates of drinking water". For many years, he has been a member of the expert council of the Ministry of Science and Education for the examination of dissertations for the award of the title of Doctor of Sciences. He work in the editorial board of the medical and biological specialist scientific journal "Medical and Clinical Chemistry". RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MOLECULAR HYDROGEN CONTENT, ORP, PH AND WATER MINERALIZATION IN THERMOSES-IONIZERS-GENERATORS “H2 LIVING WATER“ O. Pokotylo 1 , O. Pokotylo 2 BACKGROUND: Today, there are a large number of molecular hydrogen generators on the market that work on the principle of electrolysis. Nature is also capable of creating water with a negative Redox-potential and saturated with molecular hydrogen. But nature does this in the way of the chemical reaction of water with various elements of the earth. Developed by Prof. Oleh Pokotylo thermos-ionizer-generator of molecular hydrogen "H2 Living water" (TIG"LW") is able to work without electricity and as nature does. OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this study was to show the efficiency of the TIG"LW", to establish the correlation between the content ofmolecular hydrogen, ORP, pHand the general mineralization of various waters when they are kept in the TIG"LW". It has a magnesium anode, which ensures long-term efficiency of the TIG"LW" operation. METHODS: The molecular hydrogen content, ORP level, pH, and total mineralization of water were determined by express methods 30 min, 1, 12, 24, and 36 h after its retention in the TIG"LW". Well-known non-carbonated bottled waters were studied: "Karpatska Fontelna", "Truskavetska", "Morshinska", "Vyshnivetska", "Bon Aqua", "Buvette". RESULTS: Dependencies in the changes in the molecular hydrogen content, ORP level and pH in the studied waters were established when they were kept in the TIG "LW" for 36 hours. The molecular hydrogen content of all waters increased from 0.33 ppm after 30 minutes to 0.84 ppm after 36 hours. The redox potential of the studied waters varied from + 230 mV at 1 Ternopil Ivan Pulyuj National Technical University, Ukraine 2 I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, Ukraine
