P okrok v lesnom hos podárstve určovali ko morské organizácie. Vydávali lesné poriad ky, ktoré sa vzťahovali na všetkých vlastníkov lesov. Vďaka tomu sú lesy, ktoré nás dnes obklopujú, plné živo ta. Náš región patrí medzi najzachova lejšie prírodné oblasti v Európe. Môžeme sa pýšiť lesmi plnými jelenej a srnčej zveri, ale aj výskytom med veďa, vlka a rysa. Po ľovníctvo má na Slo vensku aj nesmiernu kultúrnu a historickú hodnotu. Spájajú sa s ním mnohé ľudové tradície dedené z po kolenia na pokolenie.

Vhodné podnebie, vysoká vlhkosť a dostatoč né lesné plochy vytvorili ideálne podmienky pre rast húb, čo každý rok láka všetkých hubárov v regióne na tradičné letné prechádzky príro dou spojené s prípravou lahodných pochúťok z nazbieraného úlovku. Mnohé ľudové legendy, príbehy a pesničky sú previazané s lesom, jeho obyvateľmi a poľov níctvom.

V lesných porastoch sú vytvorené ideálne podmienky aj pre rast lesných plodín ako sú jahody, maliny, čer nice aj šípky. Na hre beňoch vrchov rastú čučoriedky a brus nice. Ich zber je problematický, lebo rastú v oblastiach národných parkov, kde sú všetky rastliny a lesné plodiny záko nom chránené.

Progress in forestry was determined by the official organisations of the day. They issued regulations that applied to all forest owners. Thanks to these regulations the forests that surround us today are full of life. Our region is one of the most well-preserved natural areas in Europe. We can be proud of our forests full of stags and deer but also bears, wolves and lynxes. Hunting in Slovakia has also enormous historical and cultural value. It is associated with many folk traditions passed down from generation to generation. Many folk legends, stories and songs are linked with the forest, its inhabitants and hunting. A convenient climate, high humidity and sufficient forest areas create perfect conditions for mushrooms which every year attract all the mushroom hunters in the region to go on their traditional summer nature walks and prepare delicate meals from the mushrooms collected on their way. In the forests, there are also ideal conditions for berries such as strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and rosehips. On the ridges of the mountains grow blueberries and cranberries. Picking them is problematic because they grow in the areas of national parks where all the plants and forest fruits are protected by law.

Den Fortschritt in der Forstwirtschaft bestimmten die Kammerorganisationen. Sie erließen Waldordnungen, die sich an alle Eigentümer der Wälder richteten. Aufgrund dessen sind die

Wälder um uns herum voller Leben. Unsere Region gehört zu den anhaltendsten Naturgebieten Europas. Wir können stolz auf Wälder voll von Hirschen und Rehen sein, es leben in ihnen auch Bären, Wölfe und Luchse. Das Jagdwesen hat in der Slowakei auch einen enormen kulturellen und historischen Wert. Mit ihm werden viele Volkstraditionen, die weitervererbt werden, verbunden. Eine Vielzahl der Volkslegenden, Geschichten und Liedern handeln vom Wald, seinen Bewohnern und von der Jagd. Ein geeignetes Klima, hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit und ausreichende Waldflächen sind ideale Bedingungen für Pilze, was jedes Jahr alle Pilzsammler in der Region anlockt um lange Sommersparziergänge in der Natur zu unternehmen verbunden mit der Zubereitung schmackhafter Speisen aus den gesammelten Pilzen. Im Dickicht herrschen ideale Bedingungen auch für das Wachstum von Erdbeeren, Himbeeren, Brombeeren und Hagebutten. Auf den Bergkämmen wachsen Blaubeeren und Preiselbeeren. Das Sammeln dieser Waldfrüchte ist jedoch problematisch, weil sie auf dem Gebiet von Nationalparks gedeihen, wo alle Pflanzen und Früchte vom Gesetz geschützt werden.
