Kniha o Španej Doline a okolí

Š pania Dolina a jej celý región patrili v stredove ku medzi najbohatšie oblasti na svete. Na mape Uhorského kráľovstva z roku 1789 je uvedená pod názvom Herrngrund. Súčasné okresné mestá sú na nej uvádzané len ako bezvýznamné osady. Nakoniec máme z tohto ob dobia aj svoju vlastnú pohľadnicu – vedutu:

P rvé stopy po dobývaní medených rúd u nás sú známe z obdobia neolitu a staršej doby bronzovej.

V dobe okolo roku 2000 pred naším letopočtom sa u nás začína ťažiť a spracovávať meď a práve v tom istom čase sa pri Níle, v Me zopotámii a okolo rieky Indus v Indii rodí súčasná ľudská civilizácia.

Možno keby u nás boli trochu priaznivejšie životné podmienky, zaradila by sa aj Špania Dolina k slávnym kolískam civilizácie. Z ačiatky cieľavedomej baníckej činnosti sa tradujú od roku 1006. Boli sústredené hlavne do oblasti Haliar pri Starých Horách. Zo za čiatku sa baníci orientovali len na ťažbu ľahko prístupných rúd z povrchových baní. Až neskôr sa začali prekopávať do podzemia. Dodnes sú po tejto činnosti vidi teľné stopy.

In our village, the first traces of the mining of copper ores comes from the Neolithic period and the Early Bronze Age. In the period around 2000 BC, the mining and processing of copper started in our area, which is exactly the same timeframe that contemporary human civilisations emerged along the river Nile, in Mesopotamia and around the river Indus in India. Maybe if we had had slightly more favourable living conditions, Špania Dolina would have also been among these famous cradles of civilisation. The beginnings of systematic mining activities are dated to 1006. They were concentrated mainly in Haliar near Staré Hory. At the outset, miners focused only on mining easily accessible ores from surface mines. Only later did they begin to dig into the ground. Traces of this activity are visible even today.

Herrengrund angeführt. Die jetzigen Kreisstädte sind auf ihr nur als bedeutungslose Siedlungen angeführt. Aus dieser Zeit haben wir letztendlich auch eine eigene Postkarte - Vedute. Die ersten Spuren von Kupfererzabbau bei uns gehen schon auf die Jungsteinzeit und auf die Frühe Bronzezeit zurück. In der Zeit um 2000 vor Chr. beginnt man mit dem Abbau und der Verarbeitung von Kupfer und gerade in dieser Zeit entsteht bei Nil, in Mesopotamien und um den Fluss Indus die heutige menschliche Zivilisation. Wenn bei uns etwas angenehmere Lebensbedingungen herrschen würden, wäre vielleicht auch Špania Dolina unter den berühmten Wiegen der Zivilisation. Ein gezielter Bergbau beginnt ab dem Jahr 1006. Er konzentriert sich hauptsächlich auf das Gebiet um Haliar in der Nähe von Staré Hory. Von Beginn an haben Bergleute nur einfach zugängliches Erz aus einem Tagebau abgebaut. Erst später beginnen sie in den Untergrund vorzudringen. Bis heute sind Spuren dieser Tätigkeit ersichtlich.
