LOBACHEVSKY, 3 .SPE ECONIKA, ODESSA The effect of H2 and NO on the parameters of the functional activity of the myocardium and erythrocytes of patients in the postoperative period during the surgical treatment of acquired heart valve defects investigated. It was shown that the level of selective indicator of myocardial damage Troponin 1, decreases in the NO and NO+H2 groups by 1.5 and 2.6 times compared with the control group 24 hours after the operation. Two days after the operation, the average level of Troponin 1 in the NO+H2 group was equal to the upper limit of the physiological norm. It has been suggested that the mechanism of the combined action of a mixture of nitric oxide and hydrogen lies in the synergistic effect of the vasodilating action of NO and the reduction of peroxynitrite levels by hydrogen, caused by the action of exogenous NO. This work is a development of our research cycle on the use of medical gases in the surgical treatment of acquired valvular defects using cardiopulmonary bypass (CB). This study examined the comparative effectiveness of nitric oxide (NO) and hydrogen (H2) on the state of erythrocytes and functional parameters of cardiac activity in patients of two experimental groups and one control group with a total of 88 patients. The gas mixture introduced into the CB circuit consisted of: 0.25 l/min NO + 2 l/min O2 for the first experimental group (33patients), 0.25 l/minNO+0.12 l/minH2+2 l/minO2 for the second experimental group (25 patients ) and 2 L/min O2 for the control group (30 patients). The sources of NO and H2 were the TIANOKS (Sarov) and Bozon H2/O3 (Odessa) devices. The influence of these medical gases was assessed by the dynamics of Troponin I activity,
