1 st Conference of European Academy for Molecular Hydrogen Research in Biomedicine “Hydrogen for Biomedicine“

Lee Kyu-Jae

Dr. Kyu-Jae Lee is a professor of Yonsei Uninersity Wonju College of Medicine since March 2013, a director of Institute for Human Care Wellbeing, and a president of KoreaWater Society in Republic of Korea. He is interested in wellbeing of human life. He has published over 150 papers on the subject of health improvement and alternative medicine. He is a recognized expert in the use of functional waters on several clinical incurable diseases. Since 1997, he conducted health services internationally to improve global health with functional water, and teaching functional water and hydrotherapy. He advised governmental institutions related with water regulation and helped to establish reasonable laws in drinking water, use of hot spring water, hydrogen water and HOCl water in Korea. Recently, he is focusing on the application of functional water such as hydrogen water and HOCl water according to their unique function in several industrial area including medicine, health, sanitation, food, agriculture, livestock and fishery. HYDROGEN, LIFE ENERGY Departmen of Convergence medicine, Wonju College of Medicine, Yonsei University, Wonju, Gang-won-do 26426, Republic of Korea Nine percent of the human body composed of hydrogen. It means the age of our body components go back to 13 billion years ago, because the hydrogen in our bodywas generated from those days from the beginning of universe. In view of quantum physics, our body is composed of energy which never disappears but just changes their forms. Chinese letter ‘落葉歸根’ has the meaning of ‘Fallen leaves go back to root’. Until now scientists could not solve the question, ‘What is the origin of life? or How did the first life begin? Scientists estimate that hydrogen is the key element and energy source of the beginning of life according to Vent hydrodynamic theory. The deep-sea vent theory suggests that life may have begun at submarine hydrothermal vents, spewing hydrogen-rich molecules. Since the beginning of first life form, hydrogen gives energy to the nature including all kinds of living things. Specially, hydrogen conducts important role in mitochondria during the process ATP production and scavenging ROS, therefore, hydrogen keeps living things alive. Now, we can use hydrogen in agriculture and longevity of human life. Hydrogen keeps younger life and extends life span. Human body is composed of more than 30 trillion cells and the smallest element, hydrogen, reach to mitochondria then help energy production and anti oxidative activity. Hence, hydrogen is life energy in all living things.
